Budget Analyst - Office of Management & Budget

This Budget Analyst role within the Office of Management & Budget Director will focus on monitoring the financial condition and planning of county and federal funds. Responsibilities include reviewing budget requests, analyzing spending, preparing reports, and assisting in legislative activities. The analyst will contribute to financial forecasting and analysis, aiming to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Review requests, analyze, and make recommendations regarding staffing levels.
• Maintain liaison with assigned departments’ fiscal personnel.
• Monitor fiscal performance of county, federal and state funds.
• Review, collect and prepare analysis of actual and budgeted cost data.
• Assist in formulating recommendations designed to conserve resources.
• Participate in budgeting preparations and legislative review.
• Review proposed budget item transfers/adjustments.
