Job Description
The Sandra and Leon Levine Jewish Community Center is seeking a Summer 2026 Performing Arts Camp Junior Counselor to provide for the social, emotional and educational needs of campers in a day-camp setting.
Requirements
- Participate in staff training prior to the beginning of the camp program
- Supervise a camp group and attend to their needs
- Supervise health, safety and activities of campers
- Follow weekly schedule of events and special activities
- Take initiative to analyze and solve problems
- Assist in organizing, collecting and transporting necessary supplies
- Assist in the clean-up of all activities and lunch area
- Assist in Theatre Performances
- Assist in supervising and participating in crafts, games, sports and other camp activities
- Participate in parent related programs such as “Meet the Counselor”
- Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings and trainings
- Report any behavior problems to a PA Camp Counselor or Unit Head
