Job Description
Lambda is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Managed Kubernetes (Mk8s) team. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable control plane services, operators, and custom controllers for Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in software engineering or SRE roles and strong programming skills in Go and Python.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or SRE roles
- 3+ years leading large-scale complex projects or tech lead
- Experience tuning Kubernetes internals and writing operators
- Strong programming skills in Go and Python
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- Deep understanding of SRE principles: incident response, chaos engineering, scaling, and reliability
- Proficiency in observability tools
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid knowledge of Linux systems, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure
