Job Description
Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Specialist to guide students in after-school activities. The role involves facilitating weekly lessons, activities, and creative projects related to specific interests, fostering opportunities for growth and success in school, work, and life. The position will focus on arts education and encourages students to develop critical thinking and communication skills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (degree preferred)
- 1+ years of teaching experience
- Passion for youth development and the mission of HCZ
- Ability to create lesson plans related to class subject matter
- Experience working in youth development and teaching well-developed enrichment courses, social consciousness, self-identity, and efficacy
- Excellent planning, organization, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in youth development and teaching
