Freelance Interpreter

Gallaudet University seeks a Freelance Interpreter to provide communication access services for students, staff, faculty, alumni, and more. The Freelance Interpreter will support the Gallaudet Interpreting Service (GIS) in providing interpreting services in a wide variety of settings.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of professional interpreting experience
• National certification [e.g., NIC, CI&CT, NAD IV or V, CSC or CDI]
• Ability to communicate in American Sign Language
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to Social Justice and Equity
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
