Project Officer

We are Ecosulis, a pioneer in rewilding science and policy with over 30 years of experience. We are looking for a Project Officer to support the delivery of nature recovery projects across the UK for a range of public and private clients. The role contributes to the restoration and recovery of diverse habitats, helping to deliver measurable outcomes for nature.

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience working on nature recovery, ecological or environmental projects in consultancy, the public sector, an NGO or a related sector
• Sound ecological knowledge, including an understanding of natural process-led restoration and rewilding practices
• Experience of habitat survey, particularly UKHab, with good botanical identification skills
• Experience producing written reports and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and experience using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric
• Good working knowledge of GIS software (e.g. QGIS)
• Understanding of good practice in ecological monitoring and data collection
• Experience working across multiple concurrent projects and managing competing priorities
