Tool & Die Technician

Duracell is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Technician to maintain and troubleshoot heavy metal stamping and deep draw tooling used in the metals department. This role involves maintaining tooling, performing dimensional centering, handling materials, and ensuring safety and quality throughout the tooling process. The technician will also assist with tool design and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Equipment used: cutters, grinding wheels, gauges, micrometer, caliper, digital calipers, punches, dies, computerized tool tracking system, surface grinders, CNC grinder, CNC mill, CNC/CAD system, CNC lathe, indicators, precision hole gauges, precision finish gauges, radial drills, precision hones, overhead cranes, manual lathes, 2 axis milling machines, band saws, vertical saws.
• Manual dexterity to use various equipment.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints.
• Understand tool tracking and inventory system.
• Basic computer skills.
