Job Description
Carta is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer II to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a strategic shift in quality across the engineering organization, leading efforts to identify critical coverage gaps, and implementing and scaling test automation frameworks.
Requirements
- 6-8+ years of experience in software engineering or automation engineering role
- Strong programming expertise in one OOP language like Python, Java, JS or Go
- Experience building and maintaining test frameworks using tools like Selenium/Webdriver, Pytest, Cypress, Playwright
- Deep practical understanding of test strategies (unit, integration, E2E, performance, load testing).
- Understanding of CI/CD and hands on experience with building and deployment tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Docker) and test analytics (e.g., Datadog, Sentry)
- Strong experience with automation and software design patterns, with proven experience in both backend and frontend projects
- Strong knowledge in cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
