Senior QA Automation Engineer II

Join Carta as a Senior QA Automation Engineer II to drive quality across the engineering organization and lead efforts to identify critical coverage gaps, implement and scale test automation frameworks, and roll out self-service tools that enable developers to write, run, and promote tests with confidence.

Requirements

• Fluency in English
• 6-8+ years of experience in software engineering or automation engineering role
• Strong programming expertise in one OOP language like Python, Java, JS or Go
• Experience building and maintaining test frameworks using tools like Selenium/Webdriver, Pytest, Cypress, Playwright
• Deep practical understanding of test strategies (unit, integration, E2E, performance, load testing)
• Understanding of CI/CD and hands on experience with building and deployment tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Docker) and test analytics (e.g., Datadog, Sentry)
• Strong experience with automation and software design patterns, with proven experience in both backend and frontend projects
• Strong knowledge in cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
