Senior Project Engineer - Electrical

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer Electrical to join our Asset Delivery team at Yorkshire Water. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical supervision and line management of a team of Project Technicians, as well as technically managing and coordinating the design and safe delivery of engineered MEICA projects. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical equipment, CDM regulations, and ATEX standards, as well as experience working in a regulated utility or major asset management environment.

Requirements

• Electrical-based apprenticeship or Engineering degree or equivalent / ONC/HNC/BTEC in Electrical Engineering
• Understands the principles of control of works – Permits, POWRA, RAMS etc
• Understands the major processes and the effects/role of MEICA equipment in this
• Has a broad experience with electrical equipment and can use this experience to produce engineered solutions to resolve business risks and other issues
• Has a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the CDM regulations and their practical application
• Has a good understanding of the design and project delivery process including hazard identification, risk assessment and site supervision
• Is able to respond/answer to a wide range of specific technical and non-technical detailed queries
• Understands and has experience of working to ATEX standards
