Elementary Nurse - YES Prep West Elementary (26-27)

At YES Prep, we seek a Registered Nurse (R.N.) to assist the Manager of Health and Wellness and provide or aide staff and students with first aid, immunization, screenings and data input for reports, State required screenings and reporting services and/or procedures under the supervision of the Manager of Health and Wellness. The Nurse will maintain system-wide student medical records, provide direct health care, emergency first aid, and related health services, and promote Health and Community Services.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (R.N.) with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• Currently licensed as an R.N. in the State of Texas
• One year of experience as a licensed R.N.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with applicable insurance coverage
• Must hold a valid certification for both CPR and AED use from a nationally recognized organization, or attend a district required training to become certified within a given time frame
• Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
