Team Leader – Asset Consultancy

Role Overview

We are looking for an Associate to support the team leaders in managing project delivery, including supervision of tasks and review of deliverables. The role will enable you to further develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency.

What You Will Do

Work as part of WSP’s GCC UK Water team and develop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team, ensuring we are at the forefront of latest developments in the discipline, and provide training and development support to more junior members of the team. Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support our wastewater team in delivering current and future projects and help influence our future approaches to efficient delivery.

Requirements

• Excellent command of written and verbal English
• Clear and demonstrable technical understanding of standards and norms pertaining to UK Water Industry
• Relevant degree and chartered or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE or CIWEM
• Able to demonstrate clear and successful experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and an ability to check the technical outputs of others prior to issue
• Good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards
• Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving and originality
• Computer literate, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision
• Accountable and see the big picture of the project to achieve the best result for the client
• Careful and responsible. Understand the concept of working in a team
• Willingness to travel to the UK for short term assignments and training
• Strong attention to details and ability to make correct judgements
