Job Description
Western Digital is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager - Mechanical to shape the company's global supply base through strategic sourcing, supplier leadership, and cost management. The role requires advanced negotiation and contracting skills, market intelligence, cost modeling, analytics, and supplier relationship management at an executive level.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps.
- Lead supplier selection, RFI/RFP/RFQ, and negotiations for LTAs.
- Drive supplier segmentation, QBRs, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity targets.
- Identify and mitigate risks across capacity, supply continuity, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, and R&D for innovation and design-to-cost.
