Registrar - GAIN Program

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of Canadians living with vision loss? As a Registrar for the GAIN Program, you will register clients, gather and record client information, and assign client records to appropriate staff. This role provides functional expertise within the comprehensive provision of vision rehabilitation services, using the electronic medical record application.

Requirements

• Proficient level of knowledge in the electronic medical record application, including the management of caseloads
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Sensitivity to the needs of persons with vision loss
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Detail-oriented, with ability to enter data accurately
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and database management and willingness to learn new software applications
• Knowledge of eye conditions and blindness prevention would be an asset
• Knowledge of the psychosocial impact of vision loss would be an asset
