Mechanical Fitter FTC (12 months)

Veolia Group is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join its manufacturing team in Peterborough, England. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing mobile industrial water treatment systems, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements

• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment functionality
• Perform refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipment
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance tasks
• Calibrate and validate instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance
• Work independently or collaboratively with qualified fitters, fabricators, welders, and electricians on larger projects
• Adhere to Safety Risk Assessments and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards
• Maintain workplace organization through regular 5S/housekeeping activities
• Participate in LEAN/KAIZEN continuous improvement initiatives
• Attend training sessions and team meetings
• Willing to work overtime when required
