Program Specialist III-IV

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a Program Specialist III-IV to perform complex consultative services and technical assistance work. The position involves planning, developing, and implementing agency programs and providing technical assistance to program staff, governmental agencies, community organizations, or the general public.

Requirements

• Proficient use of personal computer and software applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
• Knowledge of program rules, regulations and state and federal laws associated with RSRM programs
• Knowledge of procurement and contracting processes
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive management, TWC employees, customers, contractors and vendors
• Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts, to devise solutions to problems, prepare reports, and to develop, evaluate, and interpret policies and procedures
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high paced environment
• FEMA and TDEM training blocks or emergency management certifications or obtained within one year from hiring date
• 2-3 years of full-time experience in the development and implementation of business continuity, emergency management, safety or risk management
