Deputy Centre Manager (Step Forward Money Advice)

The Deputy Centre Manager will support the SFMA Centre Manager in providing a quality debt advice service, managing the team, and ensuring compliance with statutory and Community Money Advice membership requirements.

Requirements

• Be a Christian
• Demonstrate an understanding of God’s heart for Justice
• Be loyal to the Senior Pastors, Trent Vineyard and the Vineyard Churches movement
• Have a recognised Debt Advisor qualification or demonstrate the ability & willingness to be trained to “Generalist Debt Adviser” standard and undertake CPD
• Have experience of working in the debt advice sector
• Discreet and trustworthy, able to maintain strict confidentiality and remain impartial at all times
• Have effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate in a large or small group setting as well as one to one
• Be able to plan and organise projects and events
• A flexible approach and the willingness to work as a part of a team
• Resilient under pressure
• Effective time management
• Have ability to keep appropriate boundaries and be able to work with vulnerable people / people in need
• Be able to handle own and other’s emotions well
• Be able to manage and deal with change
• Have good numeracy and IT skills – confident using Word, Excel and internet
• Attention to detail, good organiser, able to work independently
• Proven leadership skills: able to delegate and work through others
• Be able to demonstrate a track record in recruiting, training and motivating volunteers
• Experience of working with people from a range of backgrounds
• Able to use initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude
