Assistant Superintendent

The Whistler Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team. This is a full-time, year-round position that will be responsible for the repair, improvement, and daily preparation of the golf course grounds. The successful candidate will lead by example, setting the benchmark of performance in the area of innovation, motivation, and engagement for the Maintenance team.

Requirements

• Diploma in Turfgrass Management
• Minimum of 4 years in a golf maintenance role
• Restricted Pesticide License
• Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the proper use of fertilizers and pesticides
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot sprayers, spreaders, scientific instruments, and irrigation control software
• Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft office applications
• Solid understanding of preventative maintenance systems
• Working knowledge of mechanical operations, including engines and hydraulics
• Strong problem solving skills
