Project Engineering Manager

Lead and manage capital projects (typically $0-$10MM) at a PSM chemical manufacturing facility using Stepan's Stage-Gated Project Delivery Process from Front-End Loading (FEL) through start-up.

Requirements

• Manage a team of 2 direct reports
• Lead cross-functional project teams to define scope, evaluate options, and align stakeholders
• Manage projects through FEL phases, construction, and start-up
• Oversee engineering contractors to ensure complete and accurate deliverables
• Monitor and control scope, schedule, budget, and risks
• Coordinate with EHS and Construction Engineering teams for permitting and execution
• Develop and manage procurement plans, contracts, and invoices
• Ensure quality assurance and participate in commissioning
• Communicate project status, budgets, and forecasts to stakeholders
• Manage a team of 2 direct reports plus contract engineers
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with plant leadership and supply chain teams
• Tailor communications for diverse audiences, from frontline workers to leadership
