The Intake Specialist position is responsible for intake functions on mail, email, and online complaint applications received by the Department of Labor. Requirements
- Performs intake functions on mail, email, and online complaint applications received by the Department of Labor (DOL).
- Reviews complaints for jurisdiction, completeness, and correctness.
- Answers multiple telephone lines for the Fair Labor Standards Division, including phone lines handling minimum wage and overtime, child labor, rest and meal breaks, and wage payment and collection act inquiries.
- Responds to general inquiries received by Fair Labor Standards via email and in person.
- Serves as designated back up person for the processing and verification of monies collected by the agency.
- Assists with other FLS functions as needed, including review of Child Labor Certificates, review of sub-minimum wage applications, referral and tracking of cases to the Office of the Attorney General, and more.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
