
Job description
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the practice with overall responsibility for maintaining efficiency of patient flow. Clinical duties include maintaining universal precautions, rooming patients, taking vital signs and measurements, performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, performing treatments and procedures as ordered by the provider. Administrative responsibilities include making appointments, filing, answering phones, preparing correspondence, preparing patient charts, obtaining referrals and paperwork from referring physician offices.
