Job Description
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer 2 - Grid to design and mentor junior members within the Transmission Line Engineering team. This role involves overseeing transmission line design within the 69kV to 765kV range, coordinating design activities, preparing reports and studies, and performing independent reviews of design work. A hybrid work arrangement is offered, with the expectation of spending three days a week in the office and two days remotely.
Requirements
- BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- 12+ years of transmission design experience
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD software
- Experience preparing scope of work, developing conceptual designs, determining basis, and reviewing designs
- Experience working with clients on transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV
- Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI
- Valued but not required skills and experience: PE license, PMP certification, Construction experience, Familiarity with ArcGIS
