Senior FPGA Verification Engineer

Planet is seeking a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer to contribute to the verification of FPGA-based imaging satellites. The role involves creating and improving verification environments, collaborating with engineers to develop hardware integrations, and automating verification flows. This is a fully remote position focused on mission-driven contributions within a rapidly growing constellation of imaging satellites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience developing DV test plans, verifying RTL, and debugging FPGA designs.
• Expertise in scripting (Python, C++, shell).
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
• Experience validating hardware/software interfaces
• Experience verifying high speed serial protocols (PCIe/NVMe, MIPI, etc.)
• Experience validating design, validation, and build tools
• Experience in field deployments, debug, and upgrades
