The Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to design data models, ensure data quality, analyze data patterns, automate data processing, and present data visualization results using ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time professional GIS experience
- Experience with ESRI products such as ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Survey123, and Field Maps
- Proficiency in SQL and Python (including arcpy and the ArcGIS API for Python)
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- Experience with Python, ArcPy, and ArcGIS API for Python
- Experience with writing complex SQL
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ArcGIS Arcade, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript
- Experience with modern APIs like REST API
- Experience with Extraction, Translation, and Load (ETL) process
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and basic interpretation of drawings
- A general understanding of the functional operations of a natural gas utility’s Distribution and Field Service Departments and their interaction with Gas Processing, Transportation, Materials Management, Building Services, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operating Systems Support
- Strong self-learning initiatives and capability

- Organizational, planning and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under high pressure situations

- Leadership ability with a willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions in to provide guidance to lower-level peer group and assist the Manager of GIS Systems & Architecture in identifying the best people for special assignments and advancement
- Decision making skills with the ability to recommend strategic direction for the organization and manage continuous improvement projects
