Software Engineer - (Full-stack Javascript)

Software Engineer - Full-stack Javascript role at Perlego, working on a platform to help students study smarter and more effectively. The role is hybrid, with two squads working on different business areas: D2C (Learner Tribe) and B2B (Partner Tribe). The ideal candidate has experience with Javascript, React, NextJS, Node.js, Typescript, AWS, and TDD, and is a strong problem solver with excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Strong experience with writing performant, high quality web applications using Javascript, React/NextJS, Node.js, Typescript.
• Strong understanding of architectural practices including: Microservices, REST, object-oriented & functional programming, relational database design and NOSQL databases.
• Strong experience working with Cloud computing providers (AWS).
• Experience in sharing ideation thoughts and executing A/B tests to evaluate the impact of different features and monetisation strategies.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with Test Driven Development, CI/CD
• Commercial experience as a software engineer
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders and the ability to boil down complex technical problems and make them easy to understand.
• Degree in a computing related subject (desired)
• Experience in a startup environment (desired)
