Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

We're seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for the initiation and management of invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation and act as an expert in advanced airway management. The role involves delivering and managing the administration of oxygen and other compressed gases, aerosolized medications, and high humidity therapies, as well as performing and interpreting related pulmonary diagnostic testing.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy
• Must hold/maintain registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
• Must hold/maintain certification in CPR at NRP and ACLS levels
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Effective planning, organizing, and supervising abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be adaptable and flexible to adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program/facility
