Environmental Specialist 2 (20047776)

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist 2 to join our Division of Surface Water at our Central Office in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and experience in ensuring compliance with federal and state environmental laws.

Requirements

• Review installation applications and engineering plans for wastewater treatment systems.
• Prepare NPDES permits for municipal, industrial, and semi-public wastewater treatment plants and inspect plants for permit compliance.
• Respond to citizen inquiries and complaints of non-compliance activities.
• Provide engineering technical assistance to local governments, consultants, and the public on environmental regulations.
