The Mission Neighborhood Health Center is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in San Francisco. We are currently looking for a qualified candidate for our Clinical Vaccine and Medication Coordinator role.
Requirements
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with all vaccine program requirements
- Oversee proper storage, handling, and transport of all vaccine deliveries
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation
- Track inventory levels, place vaccine orders, rotate stock, and ensure timely removal and disposal of expired vaccines
- Monitor and identifies new federal, state, county, and city funding opportunities related to vaccines
- Manage CAIR (California Immunization Registry) operations
- Support annual Flu Clinics, including vaccine supply management and immunization workflows for patients and staff
- Prepare for, participate in, and lead vaccine program audits
- Train and maintain competency of designated back up vaccine coordinators
- Track EZIZ training completion and ensure compliance with annual vaccine education requirements
- Partner with the Pharmacy and Clinical Departments to support proper management of clinic-based medications
- Assist with monitoring medication inventory across clinical areas and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Works with Pharmacy to track medication pricing and optimize ordering for maximum cost efficiency
- Supports medication management for the clinic’s unique dispensary operations
- Ensure medication storage areas meet regulatory standards
- Participate in workflow improvements involving medication handling, storage, and administration
- Provide direct patient care support as a float Medical Assistant to maintain patient flow and operational continuity during staffing shortages, high volume periods, or special initiatives
