Public Safety Supervisor

The MCCA Public Safety Supervisor will ensure that all officers under their supervision are provided with the training, equipment, and information necessary to complete their job functions in an effective, efficient and safe manner.

Requirements

• Maintain confidentiality
• Manage staff and exercise independent judgment and discretion with a minimum of supervision
• Conduct roll calls in the manner prescribed by the Public Safety Department (PSD)
• Conduct inspections of assigned officers
• Provide training to Public Safety officers
• Review subordinate’s reports
• Assist with updating of standard operating procedures
• Patrol facility and serve as a general security presence
• Properly report and/or ensure that subordinate officers properly report all incidents, accidents, and/or medical emergencies
• Respond to and act as the Public Safety “On Scene Incident Commander” during all facility emergencies
• Assist police, fire, EMS, and all other emergency service providers
• Respond to all facility alarm activations
• Operate the MCCA Public Safety Vehicle(s) as assigned
• Assist MCCA employees, visitors, guests, contractors, and customers as requested
• Supervise Public Safety Officers on shift
• Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to Public Safety Department subordinate employees
• Evaluate rewards, incentivizes, and disciplines subordinate officers
• Provide recommendations regarding promotion or discharge of Public Safety Officers
