Macquarie University Health has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join theatre department on a full-time permanent basis. As a scrub/scout, you will be supporting cardiothoracic surgeries and working as part of a dedicated and highly skilled team.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
- Experienced Scrub and/or Scout Nurse
- One year plus experience in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
- Knowledge and clinical experience in Respiratory is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication and information technology skills
- Proven ability to establish sound relationships with peers and clients using a customer service focus
- Well-developed computer skills including the use of electronic medical records systems, MQ Word, Excel and web-based research
- Proven ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commitment to own professional development
- Relevant experience in coordinating a Cardiothoracic service will be highly regarded
