OT/SCADA Engineer – Offshore Wind O&M

The OT/SCADA Engineer – Offshore Wind O&M is responsible for providing technical advice and expertise to support the delivery of O&M works across several interfaces on various Scottish Power Renewables offshore projects in the UK. The role requires consideration of control systems, SCADA, and cyber security, with a focus on ensuring the integrity management of systems under the SCADA & Cyber Security teams' remit.

Requirements

• Considerable experience of control systems, substation automation and SCADA.
• Ability to think logically and be able to assess the risk of carrying out any fault finding, maintenance or upgrades to any SCADA, control or network system.
• A good knowledge of control panels with electrical installation, instrumentation and network solutions.
• Knowledge in SCADA applications for power generating and distribution assets, IT/OT networks, systems, and cybersecurity.
• Competent in future planning.
• Experience of contracting, engineering support and maintenance and defining scope of works.
• Self-motivation and willingness to learn.
• Competent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Developed report writing, presentation skills and ability to summarise key parameters and drivers impacting the project and business.
• Good organizational and operational skills with the ability to link this awareness to technical judgement and decision making.
• Good planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and anticipate problems and thereafter plan and implement mitigating solutions to negate the effect of such problems.
• IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
