The CFS Manager position is a leadership role responsible for managing a team of Warehouse Account Managers, client relationships, and daily core account management processes. The role involves significant client interface responsibilities and requires excellent problem-solving skills, ability to motivate and manage a team, and expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- Manage a team of Warehouse Account Managers
- Manage daily core account management processes for all applicable accounts
- Monitor and isolate potential errors, issues, miscommunication, and sub-optimal performance
- Ensure all managed accounts are documented and appropriately saved for ease of backup coverage
- Support implementation team during the launch of new accounts and programs
- Receive, analyze, and respond to a high volume of communication each day
- Manage the order process flow to contract specifications
- Approve and track orders
- Maintain inventory accuracy
- Responsible for accurate and timely order rating for applicable orders
- Successfully manage client relationships with various levels and departments of the client team
- Understand client requirements for tracking, reporting, internal requirements for billing, and translate these into actionable requirements for IT development
- Work with Client Development Manager (CDM) to ensure the client is provided appropriate training and proper account set-up for efficient daily operations
- Understand how to deal with client shipment policies, carrier/consignee concerns, special handling instructions, etc.
- Interface with Business Development, Client Development, and IT Departments to ensure all changes in product lists, EDI, configurations, pricing, etc. are properly set up for current accounts and be intimately involved with any changes that may occur over the life of an account
- Enable ways to use the client website output to validate, analyze and manage product line business data to support effective product and business decision making for all accounts
- Work closely with finance and accounting to close month end books, look for profitability/revenue trends, examine potential operational/financial pitfalls, raise questions on past performance and future results of account profitability
- Understand operational challenges with current consolidation programs
- Implement improvement initiatives with partner warehouses, internal Human Resources departments, and retailers to cut lead-time, costs, and complexity
