Job Description
The Staff SW QA Engineer - System Test role involves developing a thorough understanding of Gigamon hardware and software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and building test beds, troubleshooting issues, and executing test cases with a customer quality focus. Responsibilities include automation script development, review of product documentation, field escalation support, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on QA testing experience including System Test, Performance Test, Integration Test, and Interoperability Test
- Creating, implementing and reviewing manual/automated test cases and test suites
- Experience with test case management tools such as Mercury Center, TestLink etc...
- Working knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, L4 – L7 protocols
- Working knowledge in Nutanix
- Knowledge of and/or experience with firewall, security and SSL
- Strong network configuration and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with packet capture tools such as Wireshark, SnifferPro
- Scripting experience; Python, TCL, Perl, Expect
- Working experience in Terraform, Ansible, Puppet
- Experience with bug tracking systems such as Bugzilla, Jira
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Project/Test lead experience
- Mentor junior QA engineers in QA process and technology
