The Senior Production Supervisor is responsible for leading high-volume, secure card manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment. This role directly supports the Head of Operations and serves as a key leader across multi-shift production, ensuring all programs are executed on time, within quality standards, and at maximum efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing plant environment.
- High School diploma required.
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing required.
- Experience in SLA-driven or deadline-critical production environments strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of engineering, manufacturing practices, logistics, safety, quality, purchasing and materials management.
- A customer focused team player with excellent communication, strong problem solving and organizational skills. Past experience leading teams, departments, and developing teams.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing and Quality standards.
- Leadership skills driven by values that support the objectives of the company.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and a service orientation.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must possess high standards of personal integrity.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including Saturdays, to cover peak production periods.
- Knowledge about Datacard (Entrust) machine, creating job setups, modules and card layout setups.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Experience in one of the following industries is a big plus - plastic cards, printing, bindery, and fulfillment.
- Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods (2+ hours per day).
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods as needed.
- Must be able to operate and troubleshoot production equipment, including personalization and mailing systems, as required.
- Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, read screens, review detailed production data, and interpret technical documentation.
- Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer, tools, and production equipment controls.
- May require occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of materials (typically up to 50 lbs).
- Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
- Must be able to respond quickly to production floor issues and emergencies.
