Junior Hardware Engineer

Build and deliver impact as a Junior Hardware Engineer on the Tactical Communication and Information System (TacCIS) Solutions Product Line Management (PLM) team, designing and developing new cutting-edge MESHnet hardware products, working with smart and talented people, and contributing to next-generation technologies in the defence sector.

Requirements

• Design and develop electronic circuit card assemblies, harnesses, cables and test systems
• Simulate and test circuits and electrical solutions.
• Conducts, monitors, modifies and documents engineering test procedures
• Execute and document various engineering investigations
• Capture and maintain configuration control of product development
• Create mechanical designs and drawings mechanical systems for use in rugged environments using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
• Support the full design life cycle from requirements definition, concept through to successful production ramp-up, including support for prototype procurement, assembly, design verification and qualification testing, and on-going manufacturing support.
• Review part and assembly drawings and parts lists in support of the release of design activities
• Work with other mechanical designers and engineers, system engineers and human factor engineers in the development of installation designs of military vehicles.
• Closely with other design professionals, systems engineers, Supply chain management personnel, and manufacturing engineers to ensure a smooth flow of information throughout a project.
• Perform 3D scanning and process data in support of vehicle platforms.
