Florida Atlantic University is seeking a WARC Onboarding and Recruitment Services Specialist to support hiring practices, manage appointment extensions, and the full recruitment and onboarding cycle.
Requirements
- Evaluate and identify solutions to routine and complex problems as they arise.
- Responsible for understanding, executing, and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations impacting the University and Human Resources.
- Conduct routine internal audits to uphold compliance with state, federal, and university guidelines and policies.
- Responsible for the successful completion of a full recruitment cycle, including the successful completion of the pre-hire and post-hire phases.
- Responsible for processing recruitment requests in Workday and posting job announcements on the company’s career portal.
- Assess applicants' skills, abilities, and qualifications for employment.
- Guide and coach hiring departments on recruitment guidelines and best practices.
- Responsible for determining which pre-employment screenings are required.
- Obtain and review documents from applicants and current employees to ensure the successful completion of all pre-employment screenings and requirements.
- Conduct pre-adverse and adverse actions as necessary.
- Complete I-9 verification to establish work eligibility and identity.
- Ensure employee file reflects accurate and updated information.
- Maintain proper record-keeping of all employee records and secure files according to university guidelines and state requirements.
- Monitor the visa expiration report and notify departments/employees as necessary to provide updated work eligibility documents.
- Review employment extension requests and process according to the employee type.
