Shift Supervisor

We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our team at Great Bear in Harworth. You will be responsible for supervising the warehouse team and supporting the Shift Managers in meeting the safety and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Assist the Shift Manager in delivering the warehouse operation, and supporting with responding to any operational issues within the warehouse.
• Scheduling and supervising the activities and the functions of the warehouse staff.
• Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all warehouse activities.
• Take ownership for disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases within the shift.
• Support the delivery of communication briefings so that all colleagues have been briefed and informed.
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures through safe systems of work and practices, good housekeeping and the provision of information and training to the warehouse team to ensure total safety awareness.
• Support individuals in meeting performance targets and respond to underperformance issues.
• Maintain records of team performance and individual performance against plans, and to advise the Shift Manager of factors that may disrupt operations which cannot be resolved by the team.
• Assist in the organisation of training and development for warehouse staff, including on-the-job coaching.
