The Senior Network Services Architect will work within Network Services Architecture organization, focusing on global architecture, standardization, Automation, Tools, and emerging technologies. The candidate will be expected to support the Network Services portfolio, and work in a cross-organizational setting to ratify services and use-cases across the global enterprise.
Requirements
- Support the Network Services portfolio, and work in a cross-organizational setting to ratify services and use-cases across the global enterprise.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge in Software Defined infrastructure, cloud strategies, data center and WAN technologies, global load balancing, automation development and workflows.
- Develop reference architectures, support existing standards through a comprehensive review process, present to Architecture Boards, and develop standards based upon business requirements.
- Ascertain business requirements, research and identify solutions, and make recommendations supported by a properly developed business case that includes technical feasibility, costs, benefits, etc.
- Develop Business Cases, Cost Structure, Scopes of works, and Build Materials associated with both projects and BAU work.
- Develop and execute project / deployment plans that meet scope, time, cost, and quality requirements
- Assess, mitigate risk, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues utilizing industry standard tools to include packet analyzers. (NetBrain, NetScout, OpenText Network Automation, Spectrum)
- Develop processes and documentation according to the needs of the organization
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in alignment with Security, compliance, and firm objectives
- Establish and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization and with vendors
- Collaborate and influence others, to include peers, leaders, and vendors
- Mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment
- Lead Audit and compliance reporting efforts, and develop remediation plans
- Adopt and deliver on timeline and within budget in all areas of effort
- Provide guidance to managed services, contractors, and mentor network engineers
- Operate and engage with Audit to provide Reporting on internal and external Audit and compliance requirements
- Interface with other technology towers and vendors
- Recommend and oversee implementation of new networking technologies.
- Establish and Maintain Technical Standards including Write, Review, Edit, and improve network architecture standards as well as proposed Network Changes.
- Participate and lead troubleshooting during incidents to support business interruptions, or when experiencing sub-optimal performance with applications or solutions
- Act as escalation point for critical operational issues
- Lead Network improvements using Automation and AI capabilities including scripting, and tool configuration
- Review solution security releases (CVEs) provide guidance and recommendations to address identified potential threats.
- Lead Life Cycle management efforts and recommends hardware platforms and OS versions
- Collaborate with IT Security on network security best practices.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigation for Severity 1 & 2 Network Outages
- Participate in capacity management and planning, as well as leads efforts to reduce operational costs.
