Child & Family Guidance Center

Child & Family Guidance Center (CFGC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been delivering comprehensive mental and behavioral health care in North Texas since 1896, making it the oldest child guidance center in Texas and the second oldest in the United States. The organization provides a full spectrum of services—including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and family counseling, community‑based rehabilitation, skills training for children, and telehealth—while ensuring that no patient is turned away regardless of their ability to pay. CFGC’s patient‑centered approach emphasizes individualized treatment plans that address the whole person, integrating clinical care with case management and community education to support recovery from trauma, trauma‑related disorders, and complex mental health challenges.
