HID Global seeks a Solutions Engineer to support facial recognition and biometric identity solutions in regulated markets like travel and border management. The role aligns customer security, compliance, and experience needs with HID’s biometric platforms, supporting solutions from concept through deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields of computer information systems is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Requirements Analysis and Software Requirements gathering (in either a Presales role or professional services role).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on server / client solution architecture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to creatively engineer solutions to solve customer problems, with a strong problem-solving aptitude focused on selling to customer needs.
- Deep product knowledge and understanding of the Product Development lifecycle.
- Excellent presentation skills and understanding of enterprise computer networking standards
- English fluent language
- Solid technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux Server platforms, including practical understanding of Networking architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, SMTP, HTTPS).
- Proven experience with computer language or scripting technologies (as required for creating or modifying existing demo solutions for customer-facing demos or tradeshows)
- Proven use of a software development platform or compiler (having used tools such as Android Studio, Visual Studio or equivalent for compiling code)
- Proven experience in a technical lead role whereby individual took responsibility for configuring and testing internal solutions or product for a server/client architecture.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, working independently and capable of learning new concepts on one's own.
