Welfare & Administration Manager (Fixed Term Residential Summer Contract)

We are looking for a highly motivated Welfare & Administration Manager to join our team for a fixed-term residential summer contract. As a Welfare & Administration Manager, you will be responsible for prioritizing the safety of students, implementing safeguarding and health and safety policies, and managing student welfare and supervision.

Requirements

• High degree of IT competency - Outlook & MS Office (specifically Excel)
• Proven experience in a pastoral, welfare, safeguarding, or residential management role with children or young people
• Experience working in a summer camp, boarding school, or youth programme setting
• Demonstrated ability to manage safeguarding cases, welfare incidents, and behavioural issues professionally and sensitively
• Experience leading and supporting a team of staff responsible for student welfare and supervision
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety procedures
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff, and parents
• Competence in managing confidential information and accurate record-keeping
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
• Knowledge of emergency and incident management in a residential environment
• Ability to provide effective guidance and emotional support to both students and staff
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in education, youth work, social care, psychology, or pastoral support
• Empathetic, approachable, and professional
• Calm, patient, and discreet when dealing with sensitive issues
• Strong leadership presence with a supportive and positive attitude
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to student well-being
• Flexible and adaptable to long hours and changing schedules in a residential environment
